Sarangani, is well known for their beautiful beaches, variety of delicious sea foods, perfect diving spot, impeccable views and many more. White water tubing located in New La Union, Maitum, Sarangani Province added to the province attraction. For only, P200 per head you will experience the 1.6 kilometer ride on rapids of the clean Pangi River.

The best time to visit the area is on rainy season wherein the water current are stronger. You can also try the “bangsi” (dried out marinated flying fish) which is a good pasalubong.
It is safe even on kids as long as they can grasp the handle on each side of the tube. There was a net that has been entwine in the tube to sit from. At the briefing area, the guide informed us to slightly lay your back to the tube and raise your feet to avoid incidents while fighting the cold rapids. Everyone has a buddy/guide thus what you’ll have to do is sit and hold on tight.

At first, I was hesitant to try because we brought with us my daughter and her cousin (ages 4 and 8 at that time). I don’t know if they were allowed but the guide assured us that it was safe even for kids. I don’t regret that we let them joined us because we altogether experience the fun and wild adventure, even our mom tried it to!

You don’t have to worry if you do not have a Gopro camera since they have another guide that is assign only to take pictures, just give your cellphone or camera and will be rest assured to capture your crazy moments.

From the main area (last stop of water tubing), a 5 minutes habal-habal ride will take you (included in the water tubing payment) towards the jump off area. You will be brief on what to do, will be given a helmet and life vest and you’re all set so enjoy! Open cottages cost P200 and picnic table is P150.
