A place for reflection and prayer is what the Bukidnon Monastery or the Monastery of the Transfiguration is all about. The solemnness of the place that will surely relaxes your mind and spirit. It was part of our side trip on our way to Davao City after our trek to Panimahawa Ridge and Cedar trip. The place was beautifully adorned by the natural green environment and cultured decades old bonsai trees.

Situated on a hill in the village of San Jose Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Away from the noise of the City is the Home of the Benedictine Monks and one of the main attraction for guests and tourists especially during Holy Week.

A place of serenity, they also held regular masses at the monastery every Sundays. As for the visitors, wearing shorts especially for women are greatly discourage, let us respect the sanctity of the church but there are long skirts for rent P20 if you wish to enter the monastery.
